Looking for patterns
Seeking structure, hierarchies, relationships between a scattering of binary opposites. It’s with a view to mapping out an upcoming ‘essay’ (an updated version of last year’s ‘essay’). I’m not even sure about how useful dichotomies are for metaphysics, or what dichotomies should be included or excluded, or which are true and which are false dichotomies (and how this sometime depends on either an ontological or epistemological perspective).
Just playing around
This is a snapshot taken yesterday afternoon showing the state of play after the first five minutes. Nothing definite, I just thought that it would be interesting to show some work in progress — philosophy with card and scissors.
Most of the dichotomies are lifted from last year’s ‘essay’, but there’s a couple of new entries. I’m sure I’m missing a few. What’s interesting to me is the groupings, and those that seem to want to stand alone.
